Astrophotography, to me, is about capturing anything beyond our world. It’s peering past the atmosphere into the vast reaches of space — sometimes just within our sky, sometimes light-years away. These are distances we can barely comprehend, worlds we might one day discover. I often wonder what it would be like to live a century or two in the future. Perhaps by then, our challenges won’t be socio-economic, but intergalactic. We may no longer worry about the color of another person’s skin, but whether we can coexist with species not from Earth.
In my photography, I capture planetary bodies such as comets, meteors, and planets. One day, I hope to photograph nebulae and other distant astronomical wonders — I just need a really good telescope. For now, I’m pushing the limits of what I can capture with just my camera and lens.
