Street photography to me is about anything man-made, but not just taking a picture of someone else’s artwork and calling it my own. I think of it in a broad sense, not just limited to things that happen “on the street.” It’s candid shots of people in action, going about their lives, unaware of the camera. It’s noticing the way light moves, casting unique shapes and patterns. It’s also about architecture, from small details to massive structures like the Great Wall of China, the CERN particle accelerator (which I hope to photograph one day), or the pyramids of Giza. Even though these are man-made, they carry the stories of hundreds or thousands of people and reflect something bigger about humanity.
