Nature photography is special to me because it captures life itself. As a scientist, I see how extraordinary life truly is, its beauty, its complexity, and its resilience. Life has evolved through countless interactions, shaped by its environment and the relationships between species. Through my photography, I work to show these connections and the astonishing biodiversity that surrounds us, while also drawing attention to how fragile it has become under human greed. In our busy, sometimes robotic-like lives, it can be hard for us to step outside of that to acknowledge that we are alive and we have so much more power and compassion than we think we do. As for nature, we are not apart from nature, we are a part of it, and we cannot exist without it.
